Studies show: Intelligent girls are more depressed because they know what the world is really like. I don't want to be a legend. I just want to go home and be with my family. I don't see how I can live this way. Thank you, Cronus. You've made me what I am today: a bundle of broken nerves.

Has anyone else found that their vocabulary choice is impaired today? There's a song that's inside of my soul. I can't seem to...prevent myself from...breaking into song.

I was painting in the park earlier and a man came up to me and asked if I could do a quick sketch of his wife and son for mother's day. I agreed because he was a nice man and the woman was very beautiful...and I may have cheated a little and used my flair to help me out, but I did a rather quick painting and gave it to them free of charge.

I had to look Mother's Day up, of course, since I didn't know what it was and I found out it's this celebration where children and...well, the whole world celebrates mothers. I thought it was a lovely idea but it made me think about my children and of Zephyrus and wonder how they are doing...I hope Cronus has not hurt them. I will...personally...hit Cronus if he has touched Pothos.

I'm...very sad now.

I'm sorry I haven't been around! I got so busy with all the painting for the gallery in SoHo that agreed to hang some of my paintings! It's not my own gallery but it's a start and I'm very happy. I just sent in three more paintings today. I learned that I didn't have to walk down there and do it myself because there are these companies you can call and you can ask to do that for you! It's amazing. They have the cutest brown trucks.

I also kind of got bitten by a dog while I was getting groceries this morning. I broke all my eggs and the kind gentleman promised to deliver new ones to my apartment to replace them. He also took me to a clinic to get my shots. They gave me a pretty bandage though it really hurt.:(

I have some hot chocolate that comes in powder form if anyone wants some!

My feet hurt. I think I walked miles yesterday, but it was so much fun. I look at an art workshop at NYU today after I went down to the East Village to talk to people who wanted to look at my work. I figured out that they didn't want me to bring one of my big paintings on canvas. They wanted me to bring a portfolio. I learned how to make a portfolio (it's a bunch of small paintings) off the internet and they liked it, so they'll call me with details.

NYU looks fun. They have a small summer workshop you can apply for. They let me submit my portfolio and they said they'd call me. People here think a lot. They don't like to make decisions right there and, instead, tell you that they'll call you.

What is going on with all of you? I'd love to hear your stories too!

Dionysus, I have bad news. New York doesn't allow persons to possess "non-human primates," which includes monkeys. I asked at a pet store today. I got you these instead...and tuna for Scrambles the Death Dealer.

...I'm sorry?

I sold one! I sold one! I sold one!

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

All right. All right. So, I was trying to look for a spot in Greenwich Village and SoHo because that's where all the girls at the beauty shop said all the artists and things hung out. So I went there...and it took forever but I got there and I brought a small canvas and some paints with me to bide the time in case I got bored, which I did, but I did find a few small galleries that were willing to look at my art before they put it up.

I had lunch from a funny little man with a silly little cart and he had hotdogs. It was a complete mess, but I loved it. You should come with me sometime, Dionysus. You'd love the vulgarity of it all. Oh, and so I sat down to paint and I was merely doodling the scene. There were two people across from me and as I was finishing, they came up to me and asked if they could buy it from me since it was almost their monthsary -- whatever that is -- and so I let them and they did and I sold it!

I think a celebration of sorts is in order.

I had a sudden burst of inspiration over the week. I finished three different paintings and I'm proud of them. Inspiration just sort of crashed into and washed over me like a wave. It was all very exhilarating. I'm excited. I've made a few phone calls about a place for a gallery and there were a few responses. I might spend some time walking around to look at them. Would anyone like to join me on that? It will be fun.

I also got a letter saying I won the California Knitting Society Sweepstakes. All I have to do is send in the tax money of $15,000 and they'll send me my prize money. I wrote them asking them to just take the tax money out of the money I won and send the rest.

That was surprising, though not thoroughly unpleasant...I just didn't expect it to go that way. I feel better, though. I suppose I wouldn't mind doing it again. I just...well, thank you and...yes. We should do that again sometime.

I don't want to have to get out of bed. I'm suddenly glad I don't have to go out of the house to work anymore.

I...I...I don't understand what's going on. It is confusing and difficult and I don't understand. I have tried painting out my frustrations...but...I...I don't know. It is hard and I don't understand.

The paintings...they are unusual. They are of Thanatos.[gone;] They are strange and I...don't like them. I think I'm sick, though rest has not helped at all. I feel....so...strange.

We are back to our regularly scheduled programming.

I hope everyone is safe and sound and all right from last week's excitement. I suppose it wasn't too bad from my end, all things considered. I remained unbitten and unharmed. I managed to get some abstract painting done. I did "Fear" and "Frenzy". I think they're relatively workable pieces of art.

Dionysus, have you given the gallery any more thought? I heard you were changing majors...does this mean this will have to be a solo venture?

I'm quickly running out of savings.

I must admit that I have not been very involved with the rest of the complex since Zephyr's arrival, especially so suddenly. I have been trying to be a good wife and he has taken up most of my time, which left me very little time to read about the going-ons in the complex. Now, you know me to hate swearing, but I just have to ask:

WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?

Zombies? Really? Those don't exist! I mean...I mean...what are we going to do?!

He's here. He's here. Dear gods.

Sheets. Clean sheets. Do I have sheets that aren't paint-stained? I'm sure I do.

1. Move art things into studio.
2. Clean up spare room for Zephyr. Clean up OWN room for Zephyr.
3. Stock up on food.
4. Learn to cook that does not involve microwave.
5. Air apartment out.

...6. Remember how to do the wife stuff. Find that Cosmopolitan magazine Lily gave you.

I think I feel faint.

Oh, gods. He can read this, can't he?

I heard someone moving in down the hall. I'd love to meet a new face. Feel free to drop by anytime, whoever you are. I love guests.

Dion, I have started on some of my paintings. So far, my theme has been purely Grecian. I couldn't stop painting home once I started. The girls at the shop loved the piece I brought to work. I haven't had the chance to tell them I'm leaving quite yet. I have, however, given my other boss my two weeks notice. He wasn't pleased, but I don't really care.

My queen, when do you want me to start?

[FILTERED TO HERMES]
All right, I'll give it a shot, but only to help you. I am not particularly stealthy, though I do have a good eye. Also, it cannot interfere with my work.

Is that drawing of mine still on your refrigerator, Persephone? I think it's adorable! If you'd give it to me, I'll gladly give you a proper painting of something else in return.

Oh...and whatever I found that upset you, Persephone, I apologize. Do know I do not recall whatever it is, so that secret is safe with me.

And does anyone know a doctor that can fix my back? I'm afraid I found myself hiding in a cupboard and it was terribly difficult to get out. I may have hurt something.

I am positively bored with my jobs. I don't have a sense of fulfillment at all. I think doing nails is far too limiting, even if my clients love the artwork I do on their nails. I just feel like my creativity should be able to extend further than...that. One of the girls at the shop has suggested I just paint and sell my paintings in my gallery, which sounded really interesting to me. What do you think, Dion? Do you want to start an art gallery?

As for my secretarial work, I do enjoy it...I just hate my boss now. He spilled coffee all over my newly dyed dress and didn't apologize. You don't spill coffee over art and not apologize! Pig.

I'm looking for a career change...does anyone have any knowledge of some job openings?

...Thanatos is not practicing magic. So...stop asking about it. PLEASE.

Everything's back to normal and I'm glad to be back in my old room. I'll miss having roommates, though.=(

I've decided I'm not going to get a tattoo. Hygeia was right about the icky things and the shop across from us had some not-so-happy visitors over the weekend (as per nail salon gossip). Also, I think Athena had a point about me getting tired of it.

Has anyone else heard that Thanatos is practicing to be a magician? He didn't seem like he was ready to admit it, though. Still, I think it would be awesome if he perfected that escape act.

Aw! And Athena and I didn't even get a chance to play properly.

I'm sure Elpis, Euterpe and I shall get along wonderfully. And Lord Hades, too, of course! I look forward to sharing a room with all of you. If you have any special needs and preferences, I would love to hear them and I'm sure we can accommodate each other. I tend to paint a lot, but I shall do it in my bedroom so it doesn't bother you. Other than that, I keep mostly to myself but I also enjoy talking to friends, so don't hesitate to approach me. My bedroom door will always be unlocked and knocking is not a necessity at all.

As for Lord Hermes, do you have any special instructions regarding your belongings? I shall try my best to abide by them. I certainly can't speak for my roommates, however, I think they shall be respectful of you, too.
